Martial Arts Classes Craigieburn — Timetable & What to Expect

Thinking about joining martial arts classes in Craigieburn but not sure what a lesson actually looks like? Here’s exactly how our classes run, week to week.

Our Craigieburn Martial Arts Class Structure

Progress Martial Arts runs a 52-week curriculum rather than school-term based classes, which means there is no “waiting for next term” — you can start any week of the year at either our Craigieburn or Mickleham class location.

Mini Rangers — Ages 3-7

Motor skills, listening, social confidence and coordination in a fun, high-energy Craigieburn martial arts class built specifically for preschool and early primary-aged children.

Martial Rangers — Ages 8-15

Practical self-defence, Taekwondo/Karate technique, discipline and leadership for older kids and teens, with belt-ranking assessed every 3 months.

For the current weekly schedule and available session times, see our full Time Table.

What Happens in a Typical Class

  • Warm-up: age-appropriate drills to build coordination and get everyone focused.
  • Technique: Taekwondo, Karate, Kung Fu and self-defence movements broken down for the current belt level.
  • Application: pad work, partner drills or light sparring depending on age and grade.
  • Discipline & values: every class reinforces respect, focus and self-control, not just technique.

Belt Grading

Children are assessed on their belt-specific techniques and movements every 3 months. As belt rank increases, technique difficulty increases with it — a clear, motivating goal-setting structure for kids and teens alike.
